On Monday, July 13, we had the honor of providing DJ, KJ and emcee services for the Founding Fans of the Washington Mystics in a party in the Player’s Club at Verizon Center.
The Founding Fans are those who have been season ticket holders since the first season of the Washington Mystics, who entered the WNBA in 1998. It was a lot of fun getting to interact with head coach Mike Thibault, and players Tierra Ruffin-Pratt, Armintie Harrington, Ivory Latta, Ally Malott, LaToya Sanders and Natasha Cloud.
The players mingled with the Founding Fans, played various card and board games, a few played pool and cornhole, all while enjoying great refreshments, dancing and listening to a few try their hand at karaoke. Two highlights include Latta joining a fan to sing “Ain’t Nothin’ Like the Real Thing”, and a pair of long-time fans singing Atlantic Starr’s “Always”.
Thanks to our #FoundingFans for an amazing 17 years. Hope everyone had a great time at last nights event! pic.twitter.com/0nDfPAn6B1

The real show came toward the end of the night when all of the Mystics players in attendance joined together to dance and sing-a-long to N*Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye”.
It was a fun event, and the Mystics went on to win their next two home games!
